I write about relationships.
I write about religion.

An author challenging conventional norms of a society that desperately needs more courageous + humble versions of both.

TITLES of my two upcoming books:

It’s my honor to present…

  • Founder

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • We live in an age of disposable relationships. It takes less and less for us to cut one another off and be cut off. We would much rather replace difficult, painful relationships than do everything we can to repair them. And the long-term effects of treating people as disposable are showing up in harrowing ways we never would have imagined. It is morphing us into the ghastly image of Cain, who was the first of us all to dispose of his brother.

Bio

I’m a former pastor turned relationship coach. For years, I did the whole pastor thing in the church and on stage. Now I sit across couples in my office—having listened to hundreds by now—who pour their hearts out in tears over their failing marriages.

Having been on the frontlines has given me a unique perspective and inside look into why the two of the most beautiful and meaningful things in life we can experience —relationships and religion—are for many of us, among the most traumatic and painful instead!

I investigate the deeper reasons behind our alarming relationship trends, especially in the West. I also delve into how American Christianity discredits itself and turns people off the more it prioritizes drawing large crowds and appealing to consumers every week than staying true to the original intentions of its founder.

My sincere hope is that you find the message as invigorating to your soul as it is disruptive to status quo. And that you hear as much a call to humbly look back on how we got here as an invitation to courageously embark on a new way forward.

Beyond the writing, I’m a culinary late-bloomer; a recovering perfectionist; a prolific composer and an amateur musician; a die-hard homebody; a staunch believer in chivalry in relationships and loyalty between friends; a lover of long, honest conversations; often accused of being an idealist and a hopeless romantic; probably born in the wrong century.

C.S. Lewis is my literary hero. John the Baptist’s life and death is the model of courage I hope to emulate. Liam Neeson is my life-long man-crush. And I’ve recently become a very proud uncle of two nephews: Levi + Asher.
